Here's Another One
How About
"My Mexican Dental Experience"
Have you ever considered going down to Mexico for medical assistance? Thousands of Norte Americanos visit border towns just for this reason every day. Is it safe? Medically speaking, yes, if you know what you are doing. Physical danger? Choose the right town and stay on the main street and it can be as safe as going to a United States border town.
Here is a little article about my experience in having my teeth fixed in the border town of Nuevo Progresso across the border from McAllen, Texas, where the first Mexicano you meet is a soldier with an AK47.
"Growing Up in Pascagoula in the 30s"
For the young (that's those of you who are 60 or younger), I have written about growing up in Pascagoula, Mississippi, in the 1930s. When I reread it, I find that it is the ramblings of an old man but I had fun jotting down some of the things I remembered. I may change it as time goes on because I find that I forgot to include such things as the birthday party of the superintendent's daughter when we were five and the experience of having my tonsils removed. But this is just a lot of things that came to mind. You may not want to read this but at least you can look at the pictures.
Oh! if you do not know where Pascagoula is, just go along the coast of Mississippi on Interstate 10, pass Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulfport, what used to be Mississippi City, Biloxi, D'iberville, Ocean Springs, what used to be Fountainbleau, Gautier, and just before you get to Moss Point, you will find Pascagoula. Of course, it you are coming from the other way, it is not the same.
If you take time to look at it, how about signing my guestmap just as a favor.

The Stokes Family
Descendants of John William Fletcher and Elizabeth (Benson) Stokes
Compiled by Bertha Jean (Thomas) Johnson Hoggle
I want to remind you about Jean's Stokes family history. It is an excellent resource for the descendants of John and Elizabeth Benson Stokes. The book is filled with descendant charts of the Stokeses, Martins, Bensons, Cousins, and others. There are also facsimiles of letters, land grants, wills, probate records, busines forms, court records, as well as an extensive index. If you are related in any way to these families, this is a must acquisition.
